Sales people sell credit cards to customers and even credit cards were given free to the customers telling about the rewards. The credit card with rewards proved to be a costly affair as every thing was bought on credit in America and when the customers were asked to repay, they were unable to do so and this on a large scale led to the bankruptcy of many banks leading to the global economic recession as a whole. Economists accuse the banks for giving a new credit card to customers and now the banks have been regulated to give credit cards to selected customers and a lot of procedure is being followed to issue new credit cards. I applied for a credit card plus rewards as points and for each 10 dollars spent, I will get 1 point in the card and like this points can be accumulated and once points have reached a considerable amount, the points can be redeemed for gifts or cash based upon the preferences. The application procedure to get this Credit Card With Rewards was so easy but the response from the bank manager to accept the application was huge. I was frustrated at this and downloaded the application form from the bank website and according to the bank website, a person with a fixed deposit in the bank is considered a VIP customer and does not reveal any income related documents to the bank. I took a print of this page and went to the bank manager and gave the application form to him. He was hesitant in receiving the application and asked for several documents to get the application to issue the credit cards to me. I patiently listened to his lecture and gave a Xerox copy of my fixed deposit, he kept on arguing that the application cannot be received, and then I showed him the print out taken from the website stating that all fixed deposit customers of the bank are VIP customers. Then the bank manager called his superior and finally received my Credit Card With Rewards application and sent me after nearly around 30 minutes talking unnecessarily. I received the Credit Card With Rewards after nearly a month from the bank and understood how the procedures have been made strict to issue the Credit Card With Rewards to customers. Most of the customers never get the card seeing this process.
